In the sacred month of Ramadan, Zakat becomes a powerful source of relief for those who struggle silently throughout the year. With this spirit of responsibility and compassion, Nova Foundation will organize its Zakat Distribution Program 2026 on 18 March 2026 in Bogura.

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is not optional charity—it is a mandatory obligation upon eligible Muslims. By giving Zakat, we purify our wealth and support members of our community who are facing hardship. This program ensures that Zakat is distributed properly and reaches those who are genuinely eligible according to Islamic principles.

• Total Families: Low-Income Families
• Distribution Type: Essential food items and financial assistance for eligible families

Purpose of the Program

The main goal of this initiative is to:

• Support financially struggling families
• Reduce hardship during Ramadan
• Ensure fair and responsible Zakat distribution
• Strengthen community solidarity

Many families, especially day laborers, elderly individuals without stable income, widows, and vulnerable households, find it difficult to manage daily expenses due to rising commodity prices. Ramadan increases household expenses, making the situation even more challenging. Through this program, we aim to ease that burden.

Distribution Support

Eligible families will receive Zakat support to help meet their essential needs and observe Ramadan with dignity and comfort. The support includes carefully selected provisions to cover daily meals, household necessities, and other important items.

The support may include:

• Essential Food Items: Rice, lentils, chickpeas, cooking oil, sugar, dates, semai (vermicelli), and onions for Iftar and Suhoor.
• Financial Assistance: Direct support to help cover daily household expenses.
• Necessary Clothing: Basic clothing items for comfort and dignity.
• Additional Support: Other necessary assistance depending on the family’s needs.

These provisions are designed to provide nourishment, comfort, and peace of mind, ensuring families can focus on the spiritual blessings of Ramadan without undue hardship.

• Qurbani Meat Type: Cow, Goat, Lamb (properly processed and hygienically prepared for distribution).
